My name is Karen Callahan!  I am a small breeder!!!  Most of my dogs live inside our home with us as part of our family! 

 Our males will soon be kenneled but will still spend quality time inside our home with us!  We live on a 2 acres that have 85 surrounding acres of fields & woods! 

The dogs love it out here and do get free roam on days that they are being supervised! 

 All my dogs listen well and none have to be on a leash!  I have no runners.....LOL!!! ;o)

I now breed mostly AKC show potentials in wires & longs!     I am also dabbling in the Australian Shepherds once again!  Show ones mostly!    I also do an occassional rescue!

I bred my first Mini Doxie the end of 2006.   I learned everything I could before I started breeding!   I am now showing my Dachshunds as of 2010!         

I am a proud parent of 3 kids, two adult step-daughters and wife to a wonderful husband! Grandma to one grandson!  Mother to lots of furbabies!   

I love to spoil my kids as well as my furkids!!  I raise all our puppies inside our home...I wouldn't have it any other way. 

This gives them a great start at being handled and socialized with everyone that comes in our home...

starting out with hearing and seeing the hubbub that goes on in our everyday lives. 

All our dogs are handled with care, have nice conformation, great temperaments, are extremely healthy and are very loving towards everyone they meet!! 

This is my top and foremost priority!!

No Scammers Please!!Just a little about me.I went to school for Early Childhood Education and was a professional nanny after high school.  Then I got married and started my own family.  Divorced and remarried.   I have worked in Upper management, helped my older sister run a Bird Store, I have experience in accounting and then worked in Private Home Health Care.  The beginning of 2007 I was diagnosed with an illness called Pulmonary/Neuro Sarcoidosis.  After struggling 1 yr in learning all about my illness, was forced to quit working, I had to keep myself busy.  I was limited from doing many of my normal things that most people take advantage of (including me) and so began my adventure into seriously breeding these tiny little weiner dogs full of spirit, stubborness and tons of LOVE!  What an adventure this has been for me and I have learned tons in a very short time.  I love these "wanna be bigger dogs" like they are my children now.  My kids are grown and all going off to live their own lives now.  I get to enjoy my grandson and I love him to death, and my youngest child will soon be leaving us to go off to college herself.  I am now seriously beginning to show my dachshunds and I do my best to buy nothing but the best puppies to add to my program.  I strive for the best conformation, temperments and health on my puppies.  I check out the lines, pedigrees and do as much research as I can.  I talk with many top show breeders, handlers and genetic experts and students that I can so that I can learn all there is to know about these dogs.  I am learning all about the spines, the colors and the genetics behind the colors and patterns of these dogs.  I try to SHARE what I learn with everyone, as I feel it is important to learn all you can about them before even owning one as a pet.  To many breeders breed for profit and lack on care.  They also don't learn the color genetics and patterns on this breed.  Anyone who will not show you the parents of the puppy you are buying, (has something to hide), unless that dog is traveling with a handler and in the show ring.  You can see my operation, where my dogs sleep, play, eat and are loved and spoiled when you come to our home.  We have nothing to hide here.  Now puppies can't be seen til after their eyes are open and I feel they are safe from something you may accidentally carry in with you when you come to visit.  Protecting puppies against deadly diseases is our 1st and top priority.  So please don't be offended that we ask you to remove shoes, coats and things and sanitize your hands before being allowed to handle one of our precious babies.  This is for their protection!  We do everything we can to make sure our babies and future babies stay healthy and disease, virus & bacteria FREE!  You can never be to careful with newborn babies.  We aren't hiding them from you.....we are protecting their well being!  I take pride in my puppies and dogs and nothing is to good for them.  We base our prices on the care and time we put into them.  There are so many more factors involved in breeding than most people are aware of.  It is not cheap to breed and if you even think for one moment it is a money making business......Think again!!  If you do things right and take care of your dogs & pups, you will be lucky if you break even.  This is not a profitting business unless....you are a PUPPYMILLER, BACK YARD BREEDER, PET STORE or PUPPY BROKER.........and now we have the SCAM ARTISTS that are getting involved!  If you are buying off the internet and have to have a puppy shipped.......let me tell you......it cost at the least $200 and at the most $400 to have a puppy/dog shipped.....the larger the breed, the more the cost!  You have flight costs involved, buying a crate, vet visit with health certificate and then the price of gas to an from the airport.  We have shipped puppies all over the USA and have had many good experiences......we have also shipped to Canada many times.  We have Aussie pups overseas also.  Please when buying a puppy....do your research and find a reputable breeder!!  If we don't have what you are looking for.....we may know another reputable breeder who does.  Also.....please make sure your breeder has a good contract that protects you, the puppy and them as a breeder.  Every puppy should have atleast a 1 yr health guarantee.  We give a 3 yr!!  We also give a lifetime of support with every puppy!  Also please spay and neuter your pets, not only to keep unwanted pregnancies from happening, but also to keep your dog healthy and cancer free!Thank You!!!
