I wanted to write this for several weeks now. We got Rudy about 3 weeks ago and he is adjusting well to being the "baby". My two daughters dress him and carry him everywhere. He is a spoiled boy. He is so wonderful. When we met Karen, I knew that she really loved the puppies. They were well cared for, and she believed in us. We are so happy to have Rudy, he is such a good puppy. He was pee pad trained, and is making good progress. He is an awesome addition to our family. He is so funny, and very smart. Thank you so much Karen!!! We love Rudy!!!

IF ANYONE IS LOOKING AT KAREN'S WEBSITE WONDERING IF THEY SHOULD PURCHASE A DOG FROM HER YOU CAN REST ASSURED YOU WILL FIND NO BETTER BREEDER THAN KAREN. WE GOT DELILAH TWO YEARS AGO . WE BROUGHT HER HOME AT 8 WKS AND SHE HAS BEEN THE GREATEST DOG EVER. LAST YEAR WE DECIDED SHE NEEDED A SIBLING. WE WENT THROUGH KAREN ALTHOUGH IT WASN'T HER PUP. OUR LITTLE SAMPSON DIED AT THE AGE OF FOUR MONTHS FROM A KIDNEY DISORDER. HIS ORIGINAL BREEDER UNFORTUNATELY ONLY BREEDS FOR MONEY AND DOESN'T SEEM TO CARE WHEN HER PUPS DIE. IT WAS KAREN THAT CRIED ON THE PHONE WITH ME WHEN I TOLD HER OF HIS KIDNEYS AND THAT HE WAS DYING. YOU COULD NOT ASK FOR A MORE RESPONSIBLE OR CARING BREEDER THAT KAREN. SHE HAS BEEN GENEROUS ENOUGH TO REPLACE OUR LITTLE PUP EVEN THOUGH IT ISN'T HER RESPONSIBILITY AND FOR THAT WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE HER. OUR NEW LITTLE GIRL PIPER WILL BE A GREAT ADDITION TO OUR FAMILY. YOU CAN TELL WHEN A PUP IS RAISED IN A GOOD AND CARING HOME. DELILAH WAS WELL SOCIALIZED AND PUPPY PAD TRAINED WHEN WE BROUGHT HER HOME AND I HAVE NO DOUBT PIPER WILL BE AS WELL. I WOULD NEVER GET ANOTHER DACHSHUND FROM ANYONE OTHER THAN KAREN AND I HOPE THAT THE BREEDER WE GOT SAMPSON FROM WILL QUIT SELLING PUPS . I WOULD NEVER WANT ANYONE TO GO THROUGH THE EMOTIONAL LOSS OF A PUPPY. WE WERE VERY ATTACHED TO THE LITTLE GUY NOT TO MENTION THE AMOUNT OF VET BILLS THAT HE INCURRED DUE TO HIS ILLNESS. PLEASE DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM ANYONE OTHER THAN KAREN. YOU WILL NEVER REGET IT.

Karen, I was going thru papers and found Belle's sales contract. She was born on 6-29-09. She is a wonderful dog and still has that special look! The look that stole my heart and brought me from Missouri to Ohio--worth every mile and every penny! Thanks for such a wonderful dog! Cheryl
Thanks Cheryl!! Belle has just been blessed with 5 new siblings on Jan 20th 2011. I hope they are all just as sweet as she is and we are so grateful that she has such a loving home!!

Karen, Love your website! Absolutly LOVE the fact that Daisy has her own page. I know I have told you before, but I want you to know how blessed I feel that you picked Daisy for your own and love her so much. She is a special girl, I have known that since she made her first little squeek when she was born (she squeeked and squeeked and the boys were so quiet) you know how hard it was for me to let her go and I couldn't have asked for a better owners than you and your husband. Thank you again for loving our girl and taking excellent care of her and spoiling her rotten! Give her belly rubs and kisses for me :)

DEAR KAREN, JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU HOW MUCH WE LOVE AND ENJOY DELILAH. SHE IS THE BEST DOG EVER. SHE IS SO LOVING AND HAS THE SWEETEST PERSONALITY EVER! WE WERE HEARTBROKEN WHEN WE LOST OUR BLACK LAB ZOE. I NEVER THOUGHT I COULD LOVE A DOG AS MUCH AS I LOVED ZOE BUT DELILAH REALLY BROKE THE MOLD! SHE IS SUCH A MAMA'S GIRL I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT HER. SHE IS VERY LAID BACK AND LOVES ATTENTION. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR OUR LITTLE GIRL.

Hello, Well i just read the story about puppy mills and my heart just ripped apart as i sat here and the tears stream down my face as tho a river is running thru my head. I couldnt help but think of my precious little baby girl polly. she's a beautiful and loving little min. dash. short hair and daddy love me eyes. It just kills me to know we are losing our baby weve had her 11 years and she now has terminal cancer and we dont know how long we have but i do know i dream of her floppy little ears running to me when i come thru heavens gate, god this is hard....and my wife she so close to her how does one get over this? Im sorry i am leaning like i am but you told the story of love from one side and i felt like i could tel it from the human side of a couple parents thats losing there baby and all she ever did was love us and make us smile . Your site is ery nice and we are friends with lesslie and scott godbless and keep em healthy so someone can feel that special love a little animal could give them like our baby gave us. with all respect : Jim and Rose

Hi Karen....I was watching the day Daisy was in labor and she stole my heart! I think she's the prettiest sweetest dog I've ever seen. I'm an empty nester stay at home mom, and have never owned a dog. Daisy put a little thought in my mind that maybe someday I'd like to own a mini doxie. Do you think a mini doxie would be good for a first timer?........Couldn't stop crying for 2 days when she lost the babies!.....Hope she's back to her old self, and having a wonderful life!......Would love to hear how she's doing. I enjoy your website. Kathy Thompson
Hi Kathy and Thank You.....we think she is the sweetest dog ever also....LOL!!! Daisy is doing just great now and has completely bounced back finally from everything. She of course is spayed now and will never have to go thru anything like that ever again. She will remain our spoiled little princess diva!! As far as owning a Dachshund....I would learn everything you can first about them....research talk with other breeders....join a Dachshund forum and then decide if the breed is for you or not. I will say that 99% of people who buy one....usually fall in love with this awesome little breed and then can't get enough of them!! LOL!! I will be more than happy to talk with you myself and answer any questions you might have. Just please, please, beware that there are many unethical breeders out there that are only in it for the money and give great sales pitches only to sell you a pup with issues!! I can recommend many good breeders for all kinds of different babies.....but I will highly recommend myself first....LOL....J/K!!! Again....thank you for your sincerity with my precious Daisy Mae and I hope I did discourage some people from breeding...it isn't easy.

HI, I enjoyed visiting your website. I especially liked the new puppy section and the part regarding socailization which I believe is soooooooooo important. Puppy owners need to be keenly aware of the critical stages in a puppy's development. Carol

Thank you all for your concerns and prayers for Daisy. She is healing and resting and doing great. She does miss her babies and I wish there was more I could do for her. She had a c-section and was spayed and she did loose her whole litter. :(

I was watching Daisy last night and just wanted to send my heartfelt condolances to you. What a terrible evening you had. It was late in my neck of the woods had to go to bed but I haven't been able to find out how Daisy is doing, I heard that sadly the pups didn't make it but am really wondering how she is doing. I feel so bad for you.

I was watching Daisy the last couple days...someone around 3 am told us that Daisy lost all 4 pups. I sure hope this isn't so..as just hours before, the vet wouldn't do a Csection or even help her labor.. and we saw the pups at that point moving all around like crazy in her tummy.. I'm just hoping that everything is really ok..and that the above about the puppies isn't true. I'm so sorry if it is. Please let me know. Lynn Williams

Jenni from Dreamdachs referred me to your siite. I love the pictures of the pups on your past page, showing them as pups and then at a year old. I also cried when I read the "puppy mill" story. I am a small breeder in Oregon. I am starting to breed wires, and specifically wheatens. I currently am looking for a wheaten male. He does not necessary have to be a pup, but I would not want him to be more than 3 years old. I have two females and a male right now, along w/ a litter of pups. I only breed good quality dogs. All of my dogs are in my house and are part of my family. The pups were whelped in my living room and were later moved to a puppy pen that is also in my living room. They now have run of the house, which does not please my 10 year old cat.
